We all need stability in this topsy-turvy world!!

In our most recent catastrophic economic downturn, living your values and being true to your purpose actually help you navigate troubled waters. Knowing what has meaning and brings peace and contentment enables us to make choices so that we can find something to be grateful for no matter what.  A life of focusing on what brings fulfillment creates a stability that temporary setbacks can’t undermine.

Because this kind of success is measured in terms of intangible internal measures we alone are able to judge whether we are successful or not.

  • We are not subject to the pressure of the expectations of others or past messages of the need to achieve the kind of success that others think we should have.
  • We have our own true north that guides every choice and decision we make.
  • We may enjoy some of the external pleasures of life like a nice home and a good car, but we know that we could be happy without those things; and
  • We aren’t tempted to put their attainment ahead of things like healthy relationships with loved ones or our health and well-being.

So What Are the Five Biggest Mistakes on the Road to Success?

And how do you avoid them? Success—real success that is—is not as elusive as it seems. Here are the mistakes that prevent us from getting there—they can be boiled down to one word—FOCUS:

  1. Focus: We focus on everything and nothing (living in fear).
  2. Outside: We focus on external versus internal guages (money/financial security).
  3. Core: We ignore our core (values, vision, purpose).
  4. Un’s: We deny our “un’s” (being unhappy, unhealthy, unbalanced).
  5. Service: We serve ourselves-not others (delayed altruism).

Knowing these critical mistakes and how to avoid them can help you reclaim your life and begin to really invest in your own success. With focus and intention, anyone can have a life that they feel grateful for… anyone can feel optimism about the future. And even in these uncertain times, fulfillment is possible for everyone.

You too can have Success Beyond Measure™!  It’s not too late!
